Malala Yusafzai
A documentary made in Pakistan following the owner of a Girls’ School, and his 13-year old daughter Malala. During 2010 the Taliban ordered all Girls’ School to close under the threat of violence.
Later the army moved in to the Swat Valley in order to combat the Taliban, and the family were forced into exile.
When they return, a few months later, although their home and school are still standing, they are in a mess and the city is virtually deserted.
The film features extended interviews with Malala, a young schoolgirl who had ambitions to become a doctor. During the film she changes her mind and wants to become a politician to help her country.
