Ajahn Brahm & Dhammasara Nuns Monastery

Here is a wonderful and inspiring documentary made by Michael Fletcher-Jones for Buddhist Door in Hong Kong about the founding and growth of the Dhammasāra Nuns Monastery in Perth, Western Australia.

It features extended interviews with Ajahn Brahm, Ven Hasapanna and Ven Nirodha (Joint Abbesses of Dhammasāra), as well as the celebrations surrounding Ajahn Brahm’s 60th Birthday Party.

If you feel inspired to support the nuns and their projects at Dhammasāra, please visit this page where you can make different types of donations according to your wishes.

  1. Bhikkhus & Bhikkhunis who dismissed the Garudhammas that the Buddha imposed as conditions for Bhikkhunis to enter the Order are to belong to Mahayana tradition as there is no such thing as equal rules for bhikkhunis in the Theravada tradition that follows the Garudhammas as the original vow of the bhikkhunis during Buddha’s time. The Garudhammas is not a later addition, it is authentic, original and a reality.
